We caught up with The Tequila Mockingbird Orchestra in Kaslo, BC the day before they headlined the closing night of the Kaslo Blues Fest. With the working portion of their weekend not yet begun, they were shifted into party mode to enjoy the rest of the fest. Funny enough, however, 15 minutes before our scheduled interview time the band called to say their bassist Keith was suffering from intense abdominal pain and they were going to take him to the hospital. AS luck, and perhaps the musical gods would have it thought, Keith literally gutted it out and decided he could come and do the show, then head to the emergency room after. Hey, the show must go on, and there’s no other band quite like the Tequila Mockingbird to put on a hell of a show.

Join us as we talk weed, canoes, music, Eastern European all female parties and the deep profound moments behind their songs Big Love and Canoe song, and jam them out live and acoustic.
